It is with great excitement that the Melville Premier Cricket Club announces the junior coaches for the forthcoming 2016/2017 season.

After numerous discussions and meetings with current and prospective coaches, the club has developed a junior coaching structure which we believe will take us forward into the 2016/2017 season and beyond.

With team and individual player development at front of mind we will continue striving to create the best opportunities for our players to develop into great cricketers and even better people.

Under 17's
Coach : Mark Turner ( Current 1st Grade Opening Bowler & Hard Hitting Lower Order Batsmen) ( Level 2 Coach)

Assistant Coach: Steve Russell ( 200+ Games in 1st Grade - Current 2nd Grade Captain)

Game Day Assistants: Mike Veletta & Tim Goodwin

Under 15's
Coach: Andy Davis ( Current Under 17's Coach, Assistant for 2 previous seasons, Level 2 Coach)

Assistant Coach: Mike Geers ( Level 2 Coach)


Under 14's
Coach: Steve Rogers (Current Under 13's Assistant, Level 1 Coach, Elite Level Basket Ball Background)

Assistant Coach: Stephen Perer (Former Melville Grade Player, Level 1 Coach)


Under 13's
Mentor Coach: Brad Thompson ( Former A Grade Batsmen , Current Melville Senior Coach 10 + years, Level 3 Coach)

Brad Thompson will be the mentor coach for our U13's coach and assistant coach during the 2016/2017 season.


We are pleased to announce Richard Power as the Under 13's coach. Richard has played 1st grade and captained our 2nd grade side to a grand final including currently playing 3rd grade.

Richard will be ably assisted by Andrew Kelly, Andrew has played 1st grade at Melville including mentoring numerous players through the lower grades later in his career. Please make these gentlemen welcome as they help to guide our exciting under 13's squad into the future.
