Notice of SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING and ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) OF THE MELVILLE CRICKET CLUB INC.

This is your Club and your support is greatly appreciated.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

The meeting will precede the AGM for the purpose of tabling and approving the updated Constitution.

The attached documents (see attached above) provides a) a 2-page summary of the updated Constitution, and b) a full copy of the proposed Constitution.

We encourage members to familiarise themselves with the updated Constitution prior to the meeting.

The updated document is a further important step forward for the Club and addresses both legacies in the existing 2003 Constitution and our legislative obligations to modernise and update to better reflect our operating model.

2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM will immediately follow the conclusion of the Special General Meeting and will address the usual matters of finance, general business and election of positions.

All positions of the Management Committee will be declared vacant at the AGM.

Management positions to be filled are:

President
Vice President
Secretary
Finance Director
Treasurer
And other Management Committee Members (up to a maximum of 12 Management Committee members in total).

Under the updated Constitution, Management Committee Members will take on a leadership role(s) to cover the various divisions of the Club. Please include a note of any particular division of interest when tabling your nomination.

Forward nominations to the Secretary no later than 2 weeks prior to the AGM.

Please note that the various divisions of the Club (e.g. sponsorship, grants, women’s cricket, events, membership, junior boys’ cricket, fundraising, merchandise etc) will operate as teams (Sub-Committees) led from the Management Committee. If you wish to volunteer to participate in any one of these teams it is not required that you nominate for a position on the Management Committee (as part of AGM procedure), but we still recommend and encourage you to express your interest to:
