MELVILLE CC INVITES ALL PLAYERS, PAST PLAYERS, SPONSORS, FRIENDS & FAMILY TO ATTEND THE INAUGURAL ADAM VOGES ( Formally President’s Medal) MEDAL NIGHT.
Every year MCC holds a medal count for the best senior player as voted by the captains of each grade (men and women) after every match.
This year we are inviting all junior players and their families to also attend the evening as we will be presenting the Junior Adam Voges Medal to the best junior player as voted by the junior coaches. To add to the occasion Adam Voges will present this himself.
Adam has been involved with Melville CC for 18 years and has played over 150 first
grade games for the club, scored over 5,500 1st grade runs including 16 centuries.
He is one of the world’s top test batsman (ranked 9 in ICC test rankings) and currently
has a test batting average of 95.50 & is the current captain of Western Australia.
As a great Melville CC man and world class cricketer, MCC’s current & former president’s
along with the committee decided to change the name of the medal for this seasons junior, senior & women’s best player in honour of Adam‘s fantastic achievements for Melville, WA & Australia.
This is the first season we will be presenting an
award to the best junior player as voted by the junior coaches. As well as the senior
and junior winner there will be an update of the women’s standing with two rounds
to still complete.
Please join us in celebrating the achievements this season of the best players in the club with the awards to be presented by Adam Voges himself.
This presents a great opportunity for the whole club to get together and also see our inaugural senior and junior Adam Voges Medalist announced.
Tickets include dinner and the bar will be open for drinks.
